Discount Ghost Privacy Policy

Discount Ghost is a Chrome extension that generates temporary email addresses for newsletter signups and helps surface promotional discount codes. We collect only the minimum data needed to run this feature.

1) What we collect

• Temporary session IDs and temporary mailbox IDs required to fetch messages.
• Short-lived install identifiers used for authentication, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
• Basic operational metadata (request timestamp, request ID, error logs).

2) What we do not collect

• Your personal inbox credentials or email account passwords.
• Payment card or banking information.
• Browsing history for advertising or profiling.
• Personal identity profiles.

3) Temporary email handling

Temporary email sessions are created only after a user action. Message content is processed only to extract promotional codes relevant to the extension feature.

4) Session lifecycle and deletion

• Session records are automatically deleted after expiration (typically within minutes).
• Replay-protection nonces expire after approximately 5 minutes.
• Rate-limit counters are retained only for their active window.

5) Third-party services

Discount Ghost uses infrastructure and service providers such as:

• Cloudflare (Workers, Durable Objects, Pages)
• Temporary email provider APIs

6) Security

We use HTTPS, signed requests (HMAC), replay protection, and rate limiting to protect service integrity and data in transit.

7) Your choices

You can disable or uninstall the extension at any time in Chrome.
